About

At after-grad.com we provide you a glimpse of the life after graduation by asking graduates from a variety of fields to share their experiences

I had conceived the idea of after-grad.com even before the end of my final semester. Though my exams got over on 5th June, it has taken more than 100 days(we launched it on September 17th) for it to venture out into reality. This can be attributed to sheer laziness on my behalf and to a little extent on Manjiri’s(she is ‘co-founder’ of after-grad.com). Well  not little, maybe more than little. Actually, its mostly her fault. She was holding me back with her excuses like “big pooja at my home”(then coming online for 2.5 hours but not working), “back ache”(then going for long drives), “could not find the mail you sent me”(no comments). But forget that. Its not in my nature to point fingers at others.

So apart from being a bench-warmer at home, I am eagerly awaiting Infosys to call me so that I can warm their benches too. However, they don’t seem too eager to let me do so. It has been 3  months since I am at home and I am sure there are at-least two more to come. My mother now views me and the lizard on the wall with the same kind of expressions on her face. Well, at-least she can get rid of the lizard.

Talking about after-grad, as of now, there are two bloggers on my payroll. Manjiri Keskar and Pratik Shah. Pratik is already in US for his Masters, while Manjiri intends to go in January 2008. I know, it might seem to you that the site is infested with RGITians and M.S  wannabes. I am sorry to say that this infestation is only going to grow further. However, we are always on the lookout for people who aren’t engineering graduates. If you, by any chance, happen to be one of those people then please do get in touch us.

We are always eager to diversify and proliferate our gang.

I love  to plan and I am always cooking up some site or the other. But this is a rare occasion when I have actually put food on the table. I just hope that it’s something like a hot chocolate fudge on a cold rainy day (I am not a foodie, and these are not my thoughts. These are the thoughts of my ravenous co-founder). At the time of writing of this post we have already crossed 2000 page views in a short time. Hopefully, this is just a glimpse of the things to come.
